PlumX analyzes over thirty sources for metric data including, PLOS, bitly, PubMed, YouTube, WorldCat and many others and categorizes the metrics into five categories – Usage, Captures, Mentions, Social Media and Citations. This categorization is one tool that helps users understand the metric information. PlumX also provides visualization tools as another way for users to see the impact information.
