Updated for the 2022 model year, the fifth-generation Subaru Forester features two brand new and exciting pieces of innovative technology! Gesture Control makes its debut for the first time in the Subaru lineup. When the vehicle is in Drive or Neutral, and the driver holds their hand up in the green detection area, the set temperature of the climate control will go up or down, depending on if the hand is open or closed. The next technology feature is Emergency Automatic Steering, which builds on Pre-Collision Braking in order to try to better avoid a collision.
