Storm troubles headed for Central America - October 29, 2023

Описание: Tropical Depression Nineteen has formed in the Eastern Pacific today, and is expected to become a tropical storm overnight as it cruises slowly towards the coast of Guatemala and El Salvador. Model trends have started to favour less impacts from this potential storm, becoming a hurricane close to Guatemala and then reversing course later this week. This forecast is supported by the National Hurricane Center, although they don't yet predict a hurricane. No warnings are in effect at this time, but this is likely to change soon as confidence increases.

The later period of the depression could see it become a hurricane for a second time as it moves westwards , and then curve back northwards and may affect Mexico much later on in the forecast period.

Tropical Storm Tammy is dying out for good, to the east of Bermuda. Convection is about to give out, and its winds are gradually reducing.

Two other areas of interest could form in the next seven days near the Bahamas and in the central Caribbean Sea.

The remnants of Lola are delivering strong winds of up to 60 miles per hour (95kph) to the north island of New Zealand today, and the storm will slowly push southwards across the islands with its center reaching land tomorrow.

Two areas of interest are still of note in the Western Pacific, but chances currently remain low for development.
