The International One Metre (IOM) class is the most popular RC sailing class worldwide accepted officially in many countries and known for its great sailing performances. It is governed under IOMICA and one-design rules that ensure close and exciting racing that enables innovative solutions and various different designs. IOM boats are meticulously designed, often combining advanced materials and stellar craftsmanship with the pure joy of competitive sailing. Through the long history of this class, many developments raised speed, agility and overall performance of IOM sailboats making them attractive to wide range of sailors across the world. Sailors need to have great understanding of racing rules of sailing, fast reactions, mental endurance, deep understanding of tactics, well developed trim capabilities and many more different sets of skills to win most competitive championships in IOM class (such as Continentals or Worlds).
