Jarod Shadowsong is the younger brother of Maeiv Shadowsong (who knew?!) Maeiv ofcourse beign that crazy bitch who made it her life goal to track down and re inprison Illidan Stormrage after Tyrande Whisperwind set him free during the third war.
Jarod makes his first major lore appearence back over 10,000 years ago during the War of the Ancients. where he had his humble begginings as a simple captain of the Sarumar Guard. When the burning legion attacked night elf society he qas quickly promoted to protecting the lives of Tyrande, Malfurion, Krasus, Rhonin, and Broxigar. Because you know... Huge ass red dragons need all the protection they can get, right?
The next major event in Jarods life is when Desdel Stareye took over command of the millitary after the passign of the great Kur'talos Ravencrest he promoted Jarod to being the watch dog of the tauren and earthen who were now the new BFFs of the Kaldorei.
After the deaths of both Stareye, and Lord Del'Theon Jarod aquired control of the resistance forces as well as beign granted leadership of the Moon Guard, Tauren, Earthen, and Even a couple of Demi Gods let him tell them what to do. Under Jarods leadership the Allied forces kept the burning legion at bay. He did all this while tryign to keep Shandris Feathermoon off his Elvish nuts.
Eventually Jarod went toe to toe with Archimonde where he was getting his ass handed to him on a silver platter until the demon portal inside the well of eternity collapsed and all the fiery demons were removed from azeroth.
After the war fo the ancients Jarod was one of the new racial leaders of the kal'dorei which also included Tyrande Whisperwind, Malfurion Stormrage, and Deth'ramar Sunstrider. Jarod was also the first to realize Illidan was tryign to recreate the well of eternity. Jarod went to go teach Illidan a ncie little lesson but ended up getting owned and sent home packing.
Later on in life Jarod began to lose interest in leading his people and ended up slipping away to never be seen again. Until the Cataclysm.
