Ride alongs with police officers are definitely fun and are meant to be fun. However, they are also meant to be educational. The ability to do a ride along is awesome but there are rules to follow. Don’t let over excitement cause you to not be able to ride again. If you are riding with the department that you want to work for then remember that your ride along is your first impression. Don’t give that officer something bad to take back to the recruiters. Enjoy your time though and learn a lot. If you have not done a ride along before I would definitely suggest it you want to go in to law enforcement.
