Chicago’s James Curd joins Radio Slave’s REK’D with the 'Warm Welcome’ two-tracker. The title track, ‘Warm Welcome’, is an elegant House cut with loved-up vocal loops, life-affirming melodies and jazzy keys. All of which bring classy, sophisticated good times over a raw, driving beat. The vibes keep flowing on 'Keep It Up', which features Dusty Lee’s funky guitar licks and soulful harmonies over snappy grooves, its rich instrumentation and clever sampling echoing early Disco-House sounds and oozing timeless quality.

"I've been a longtime admirer of Radio Slave, whose remix of my 2004 release Keep It Down on Classic Music Company still stands the test of time. Rekids has always been a label I turn to for inspiration, so it feels full circle to now release Warm Welcome with them. When I stepped into the studio, I had Rekids in mind, pushing myself to craft something with a bit more grit and edge. The tracks came together almost instinctively as if they were writing themselves while I moved through the studio on autopilot. Keep It Up was taken to the next level with Dusty Lee’s live guitar work—he laid down a few raw takes, and I sifted through to piece together the perfect moments that brought the track to life."- James Curd
