Seattle neighbors frustrated by lack of action on homeless camp at city-owned vacant lot

Описание: A vacant property owned by the city of Seattle has been a source of ongoing problems ever since a homeless camp moved in, according to neighbors.

The encampment had been sprawled out across the site of the former Pecos Pit BBQ restaurant at 4400 35th Ave. SW. Neighbors said that little has been done to secure the site and that it's the fault of city officials for failing to follow their own rules.

“A lot of garbage that's just left there for weeks at a time,” said Vince Belfield, who lives down the street.

Several neighbors have routinely reported issues created by the encampment on the Find It Fix It app.
