The Bushbuckridge Municipality is taking its fight with the workers to the labour court. The municipality is challenging an earlier CCMA ruling that it should implement a 2014 council resolution which stipulates that some workers be moved to higher salary scales.
Workers affiliated to the South African Municipal Workers Union have been on strike for more than a week now, demanding implementation of the resolution.
