In a major breakthrough, the West Bengal Special Task Force (STF) has taken a massive action and arrested Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Jahangir Khan, widely known as ‘Pushpa’. He was apprehended in Nepal after evading the authorities for months. Jahangir Khan was the TMC candidate for the Palta assembly seat. However, he suddenly announced his withdrawal from the election and went into hiding. He has been arrested in connection with several serious cases relating to the 2024 elections, alongside facing multiple long-standing allegations of robbery, looting, and extortion (Dada Bati).
