In Karnataka, lakhs of aspirants are worried about the age relaxation issue in government recruitment. Earlier, the state government had announced a 3-year one-time age relaxation for candidates applying to direct recruitment notifications between 10/09/2024 and 10/09/2025. But within just 50 days, on 28/10/2024, the recruitment process was suspended due to the implementation of reservation changes.
Because of this one-year delay, many candidates have lost their chance as their age limit has crossed. Aspirants and organizations are now demanding that the government must not take away the earlier benefit, but instead add an additional 1-year relaxation, making it a total of 4 years age relaxation.
