Here's the main riff and chords that run through the song. I added a fill lick just for fun and variation. There are no other parts to the main song on Scofield's album but you have to listen to the original to figure out the order. Every perfomance by John here on youtube is unique. I suggest listening to all of them and figuring out the improvised sections you like the most. This lesson is based around the the live versions here on youtube.

Soloing over the chords takes some skill but generaly the E minor blues Pentatonic and E Mixolydian/E7 Arpeggio fingerings will work if you let your ears guide you. Try to target the Db (6th) and mess with the minor/major 3rd. That's a lesson on it's own.
