Here I open up a Fearless loco BL2002 model from the Bassett-Lowke range. I review the box, contents, and of course the loco model itself. Steampunk is a sci-fi fusion of the Victorian age with the future. These models may be modified, and are ideal for people to add to, repaint, or whatever they want to do to add interest to their own layout. Good price range too for kids, and strong enough to tolerate most handling. Ideal for families, and people wanting to impress their grandkids with something unusual - place it next to a dinosaur and you are away. This is the fast and lightweight model of the three - it is about speed in the Steampunk world it lives in. These models were made by kit bashing Airfix kits onto Hornby models, the idea being to inspire others to do the same.
I also give it a test run on Kittyhawk test track and see how it performs. It is not too fast and run very realistically, even at slow speeds, which for a regular Hornby controller and a simple analogue 0-4-0 chassis, is quite noteworthy.
