The Disneyland version of the Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye attraction tells the story of Indiana Jones embarking on a quest in 1935 India to uncover the legendary Temple of the Forbidden Eye, built to honor the deity Mara. Guests follow Indy's footsteps as they navigate through the immersive queue, featuring relics and traps reminiscent of the Indiana Jones movies. Boarding a troop transport, riders face Mara's choice of three gifts: eternal youth, earthly riches, or visions of the future. As they journey through the Chamber of Destiny, they encounter Mara's wrath if they gaze into his eyes, leading to a perilous escape through collapsing corridors, a lava-filled pit, and encounters with giant snakes and beetles. Ultimately, riders narrowly escape a giant boulder, guided by Indy himself, before returning safely to the loading area, completing their thrilling adventure.
