Conté Crayon: Trois Couleurs/Crayons for skin tones - Elizabeth R. Whelan - artist

Описание: Watch the ninth class from artist Elizabeth Whelan’s ‘Summer of Drawing’ series, with an introduction to Conté Crayon and the Trois Couleurs (aka Trois Crayons) method for drawing skin tones, as popularized by Peter Paul Rubens in the 1600's. There's also some time for some quick sketching of anatomy from plaster casts of Michelangelo's David sculpture -- feel free to pause the video and take longer to do this!


This is all in preparation for drawing in Trois Couleurs from a live model next week, with more discussion about drawing darker skin tones and other anatomical features of the head.
