Millie is slowly transforming from a bitey, alligator rolling puppy into a puppy that calmly puts her harness on.
Last week it took about 20, well timed treats (kibble) to put the harness on without any nipping. On week 2, it only took about 5-6 treats to put the harness on without nipping.
it's easy to get stuck on how long it takes to put the harness on in the beginning. Owners often give up because it seems too hard to achieve their end goals.
it's important to remember that with good training, the struggle doesn't last forever! What seems like an endless supply of treats to get simple behavior to happen, quickly becomes a well practiced activity that doesn't need any treats at all.
