The art of passing the torch is very common among heroes. Whether it's learning the responsibility that comes with the power bestowed upon you, being a successor to a fallen protector of mankind, or even to earn the title of that great hero. Naturally, you'd want a successor with that kind of weight on their shoulders to be brave, heroic, confident and ready for whatever challenge may come their way. Well these guys... weren't really that. At least at first. But after a bit of training, they became molded into something far greater. They had become true, powerful heroes, and defenders of the city. Miles Morales, the Ultimate Spider-Man of Marvel Earth-1610. And Delsin Rowe, the Second Son in the world of inFAMOUS.
