Description: The city of Kansas City, MO hired a local firm to design and implement a water treatment facility. A few years after the facility began operations the "bales" that the water runs through began to collapse and fail, due to the extreme heat inside the tanks.

Visualizations Produced:
After visiting the facility and touring one of the tanks that had been taken off-line, photos and schematics were gathered and used to model the facility in 3D. Illustrating water flow and distribution, concentrations of heat in the tanks and failure of the filtration bales.
