Matt recreates the Blackpool Tower using shards of broken stained glass!

Matt Nickels, a specialist in stained glass, had the pleasure of meeting Anne and Bob Bright. They came to him with a damaged panel that beautifully depicts the Blackpool Tower in glass. The panel, standing over six feet high, is one of a pair originally owned by Anne's grandfather who had a deep love for Blackpool and enjoyed dancing with his wife in the Tower Ballroom. The unique stained-glass panels were custom-made in the 1950s, but have since been through a lot. They were first damaged during a break-in at Anne's grandfather's house and then, decades later, while being stored for safekeeping in Anne and Bob's garage, Bob accidentally reversed over one of the panels. The damage was severe. Matt has the task of reconstructing large sections of the missing design, sourcing new glass, and leading large areas to restore it to its former glory. Anne and Bob are eager to display it proudly as a reminder of Anne's grandfather and his dancing days.
