2023 ended in style, with an innovative collaboration between LVCT Health, CIHEB, Donors and the private biking community of Kenya to be a part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence campaign, that culminated at World AIDS Day (WAD) event in Homa Bay on December 1.
20 motorcycle riders from two organizations, Private Bikers Association of Kenya (PBAK) and the Women’s Bikers’ Association of Kenya (WBA), travelled from Nairobi to Homa Bay over 4 days, crossing 7 counties (Nairobi, Kiambu, Nakuru, Kericho, Kisumu, Homa Bay and Narok County on return), and sensitizing communities at 10 campaign stops along an 800 KM round trip journey.

Our goal is to increase the number of people accessing services, and sensitize the community against the harmful gender norms. Touching even just one person can make a difference.
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day
