Located on the North/East End of Grand Cayman, Julie’s Wall is a shallow mini wall dive site known for its pristine reefs, dramatic wall overhangs structure, and fewer crowds compared to the west side of the island. Situated close to the coast in Old Man Bay, the dive can be dived by boat or as a shore dive.
The dive typically starts on a shallow reef at about 55 feet before reaching the edge of the wall. The wall is covered in rope sponges, sea fans, and healthy coral formations, making it a beautiful and colorful dive from top to bottom.
Marine life is rich and varied along Julie’s Wall. Divers often see school of grunts, snappers, jacks, parrot-fish, puffer fish, barracuda, butterfly-fish, and schools of reef fish and our favorite blue chromies. Look closely along the ledges and crevices for lobsters, cleaner shrimp, and moray eels.
It is known for its excellent visibility and occasional currents, which can create exciting drift dives. Julie’s Wall is best suited for intermediate to advanced divers (as it is on the exposed North Wall), and it’s a favorite site for underwater photography thanks to the clear water and dramatic light along the wall.
