Tutorial - Daikin - Cleaning EEV
As you may know, a dirty EEV ( Eletronic Expansion Valve) at a Daikin unit can be quite problematic. If you find your reefer unit with pressures alarms, temperatures etc, the first thing you want to do is clean this valve.
Short Tutorial:
1) Shut down the reefer by removing the plug or simply turning it off;
2) Remove the white panel protecting the electronic valves;
3) Identify the EEV, you usually have a drawing inside, above the valves;
4) Sometimes you may find on the EEV sillicon or some other glues, you can easily remove them using a screwdriver or pliers;
5) Use an adjustable wrench to unscrew the EEV, rotate anti-clockwise and hold the EEV body;
6) Use electrocleaner spray to clean the EEV pin and body and wipe the remains with a clean rag;
7) Put back the EEV and screw clock wise using the adjustable wrench;
8) Don't screw too tight because the pin may get stucked!
