India–Nepal Power Partnership | Inaruwa–New Purnea & Lamki-Dododhara–Bareilly 400 kV Line

Описание: India and Nepal have taken a historic step toward deepening their regional energy partnership.
In November 2025, both countries signed two major power transmission agreements to boost cross-border electricity trade and strengthen the South Asian energy grid.

These agreements, signed between India’s POWERGRID Corporation and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), focus on the construction of two high-voltage transmission lines:
⚡ Inaruwa (Nepal) – New Purnea (India) 400 kV Line
⚡ Lamki-Dododhara (Nepal) – Bareilly (India) 400 kV Line

The signing ceremony, held in New Delhi, was witnessed by India’s Power Minister Manohar Lal and Nepal’s Energy Minister Kulman Ghising.
This collaboration marks a major milestone in promoting sustainable, green, and reliable energy exchange between the two nations.

Through these projects, India and Nepal aim to:
