Summary: Busy morning on the live. Anthropic are back at the negotiating table with the Pentagon, which is exactly what I said would happen last week. Same playbook as the TikTok ban: make a big public fuss, designate them a supply chain risk, then quietly work out a deal behind closed doors. The nuance getting lost in all the "Claude is the good guys" chatter is that Anthropic aren't actually opposed to building weapons. They drew the line at mass domestic surveillance, not lethal autonomous weapons. Claude hitting number one on the app store and picking up a million-plus ChatGPT refugees is genuinely exciting, but if they ink a Pentagon deal this week, that goodwill will evaporate fast.

The less dramatic but arguably more important story this morning was Google's new Workspace command line interface, which sounds like the dullest sentence ever written but is actually a big deal. AI agents can now plug directly into Gmail, Drive, Calendar and the rest without any clunky browser automation workarounds. Pure plumbing. Also covered: why Notebook LM deserves more attention than it gets, the reality check on Claude's pricing (you realistically need the $100 plan if you want Opus to be genuinely usable), and why 95% of corporate AI pilot projects quietly fail while grassroots adoption works just fine.
