Описание: A part of me didn’t want to share this because, transparently, a part of me wishes this were not part of my story—but to God be the glory, always.

I truly believe that, as leaders and teachers, it’s important to be honest about our struggles. It can be very deceptive to always show up online as someone who has overcome everything or isn’t wrestling with anything. The reality is that just because you’re a teacher of the gospel doesn’t mean the devil stops tempting. It doesn’t mean there is no spiritual warfare. It doesn’t mean you don’t need community, prayer, or intercession on your behalf.

This is how pastors and gospel leaders sometimes end up in scandal—because some put on a facade, never seek help or counsel, and allow the evil desires in their hearts to take root and produce sin that ultimately leads to death (James 1:14-15)

In my transparency, I pray this brings wisdom and understanding to someone who has been called by God to do great things but may be wrestling with their own vices or desires. I hope it gives you clarity about what’s necessary to overcome them. The FEAR of God.
