Al-Sayyid Husain Burhanuddin memorized the entire Quran al-karim at an early age and visited Cairo Multiple Times to master the art of recitation as well as the sciences of Quranic readings.

He is a renowned reciter of the Quran (qāriʾ), and is an honorary member of Naqabāt Qurrāʾ al-Quran (Guild of Quran Reciters) in Cairo.

He is the head of Mahad al-Zahra and administers a number of socio-economic institutions run by the Dawoodi Bohra community.

Some of his works are:
· Al-Muṣḥaf al-Murattal (Arabic) المصحف المرتل: Audio recording of the complete Quranic text in murattal (tartīl) style.
· Al-Muṣḥaf al-Muʿallim (Arabic) المصحف المعلم: A digital aid for the memorization of the 30th juzʾ of al-Quran. The CD consists of a visual display of each surah from the 30th juzʾ along with an audio track of each āyah.
· Al-Muṣḥaf al-Mujawwad (Arabic) المصحف المجود: Audio recording of the 30th juzʾ of al-Quran in mujawwad (tajwīd) style.
