This episode is all about my journey from Kalpitiya to Kandy – a mix of adventure, unexpected struggles, and beautiful connections.

🌅 My day started at 3 AM in Kalpitiya. A local friend, Ahsan, who I met just a week ago, came all the way to drop me at the bus stop even after a late night at university. That’s the beauty of travel – strangers becoming family ❤️

🚌 From Kalpitiya → Kurunegala → Kandy, it took two bus rides and almost 5 hours to finally reach Kandy. And wow – this city is stunning! From its unique architecture to its peaceful vibes, it instantly felt different.

🍽️ My first meal in Kandy? A delicious Egg Dosa with 6 side dishes + one of the best black coffees I’ve ever had ☕. The aroma was unreal!

📜 I also went to get my Sri Lankan driving permit (IDP) from the Automobile Association. Though it should take 20 mins, I ended up waiting 2 hours 😅. That’s travel life!

📍 After that, I explored Kandy City:
-Kandy View Point 🌄
-Big Buddha Statue 🙏
-Famous Demon Restaurant 🍴 – where I had my first-ever Fish Sandwich + Papaya Juice (super cheap & tasty!).

🏡 Later, I checked into a budget jungle hostel (just ₹115 / 400 LKR) – peaceful, green, and relaxing.

👫 At the hostel, I met a new friend from Delhi and the next morning we headed to Ambuluwawa Tower – one of the most adventurous climbs in Sri Lanka! Entry was 2000 LKR, but the views were worth every rupee.

💡 Funny twist: My friend told me he got his license directly at the airport for just 2000 LKR (~₹500) while I spent ₹5000! That’s the reality of solo travel – learning from fellow travelers.

This episode is full of raw solo travel experiences, making new friends, exploring Kandy, local food adventures, and the unforgettable climb at Ambuluwawa Tower.
