Blazon: Azure on a chevron engrailed argent between three cinquefoils ermine two lions respectant sable quartering Tolley. Crest—A demi man, his dress divided quarterly and counterchanged argent and sable, sleeves slashed, and holding in his dexter hand a covered cup gold, face swart, wreathed round the temples or and azure, on his head a cap of the last. This was the coat of arms of the Coopers of Thurgarton in Nottinghamshire. It was borne by Thomas Cooper, son of William Cooper and Scissely Tolley, in 1569.
