A quick drive through Strathroy, Ontario with a loop around the downtown core. We approach, and exit, the town on Caradoc Street.
Strathroy was incorporated as a village in 1860 and as a town in 1872. In 2001, it was amalgamated into the municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc. The municipality has a population nearing 25,000 while just over 16,000 of those residents live in Strathroy proper. This makes it the second largest community in Middlesex County behind just London.
The town is located just 35 kilometres west of London and 70 km east of Sarnia and the U.S. border with the state of Michigan.
