The other important factors in determine where to locate the hole are:
Weather conditions - windy (don’t put it on a really high spot), wet (don’t put it on a really low spot), both (pray that you get through the day).
Which round it is - this is so you don’t have everyone walking over a future pin position. I.e. don’t put it far left on day 1, when the tee is on the right of the green (everyone will walk off the green towards the tee).
The slope of the green - when the greens are running at 11 to 12 foot, you don’t want to be putting it on a slope much over 2, and closer to 1 if possible.

Then pace out the distance from the front, and from the closest side, so this can be provided to the players for that rounds play.
