Описание: " Shi'ur Moledet " is a song written by Efraim Shamir that discusses yearning for the land of Israel.
Shamir, a Polish born, initially wrote the song in his youth in Polish. Later on, after the landslide success of his band Kaveret, poet Eli Mohar added Hebrew lyrics to the song and it was recorded by the band.

Its title consists of the words "Shi'ur" - meaning "class" or "lesson"; and "Moledet" - meaning "birthland" or "homeland". In Israel, "Shi'ur Moledet" is a mandatory highschool subject where students are being taught about their homeland (geography, history, culture...) and go on field trips as in "Outdoor Education" classes.
