Overnight hike to Jacques Lake in Jasper National Park

We did something very different on this hike. We stayed and slept at the old warden's cabin instead of in our tents. Parks Canada is testing a concept, and letting the Alpine Club of Canada manage the cabins for profit. It's an opportunity to experience the life of a warden 75 years ago.
Jacques Lake is in excellent destination for casual backpackers. The hike in is only 12.2 km over relatively easy terrain with no noticeable elevation gain.
One unusual aspect of the trail is that it travels through a narrow mountain valley, past 4 lakes and over a watershed divide, all withing a few kilometers.
