Un’isola che nei secoli ha conosciuto molte piene, quando il Tevere invadeva regolarmente la città prima della costruzione dei muraglioni nell’Ottocento.

Oggi, come allora, l’acqua avvolge le sue sponde.
La corrente copre le banchine, scorre rapida tra i ponti e ricorda che Roma non è fatta solo di pietra e memoria… ma anche di un fiume vivo.

All’alba, nella luce tenue del mattino, la piena restituisce alla città un’immagine antica:
quella di un luogo che continua, ancora oggi, a convivere con la forza del suo fiume.”
