A subcutaneous lipoma is a common, slow-growing, benign (noncancerous) tumor of fat cells (adipocytes) that forms just beneath the skin, appearing as a soft, rubbery, painless lump that moves easily with finger pressure, typically on the trunk, shoulders, neck, or arms, requiring no treatment unless it causes discomfort or pain.
There is evidence of a fairly well-defined T1WI and T2WI hyperintense lesion in the subcutaneous plane of back in midline from the level of T2 vertebral body to the level of T5. It roughly measures 6.7 x 2.4 x 6.6 cm. No evidence of adjacent muscular or bony invasion is noted. No evidence of extension into the spinal canal. Post contrast study shows no evidence of post contrast enhancement - Likely suggestive of subcutaneous lipoma.
