Modern Fails: Newall C80 DRO repair

Описание: My expensive lathe digital readout just failed, and Newall does not want to repair it! So, we reverse engineer it, and find out that the proprietary principle of operation is absolutely genius, involving ball bearings and magnetics, with a readout precision of better than 10 microns. And the fault is quite unexpected. Hint: not a capacitor.
