Описание: Los Angeles born singer-songwriter Maria McKee is famous for her bohemian lifestyle and for this song - a UK #1 hit for her back in 1990. Although it only made #28 on the US Adult Contemporary chart, it was a #1 hit for her in the Netherlands and Norway, #2 in Sweden, #3 in Australia and #12 in New Zealand. Maria initially turned down the offer to record the song: she liked the melody but hated the lyrics. When the record company became more insistent, she said she would only record it if she could completely rewrite the lyrics. Her suggestion was at first refused but the label eventually capitulated and she sang the song with her own lyrics. The recording was produced by Peter Asher.
