HOW TO APPLY FOR RESIDENCE PERMIT IN FINLAND | STEP BY STEP 🇫🇮

Описание: Hello guys, welcome to Uni Corner. Today we are going to talk about, how would you apply for your Residence Permit for the first time as a student or extend you Residence Permit in Finland:

If you are applying for your Residence Permit to study in Finland you can apply from the Finnish embassy or consulate in your country or from nearest foreign country. And if you want to extend your Residence Permit, then you can’t do it from any foreign country but you must do it in Finland and before your Residence Permit expires. You can submit your application electronically but you must go physically to the embassy or consulate too. When you go to visit the consulate, make sure to have your all original documents such as ACADEMIC DOCUMENTS, FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS with you. First Residence Permit application fee is 450 euro and to extend a residence permit fee is 200 euro.

If you want to extend your Residence Permit then go through the link and take an appointment in suitable service point in Finland. migri.fi/en/book-an-appointment

After booking an appointment, visit migri.fi/en/home and select “I want to apply” and find the right application from there.

After finding the right application, open an account in enterfinland.fi/eServices/info/studypermit. Note down your USER NAME & PASSWORD. If you want to apply electronically then follow & attach the following documents & instructions:

1. Fill up the application form
2. Attach the valid passport copy
3. Attach passport size picture in JPEG format
4. Attach admission letter
5. Attach documentation of paid tuition fee or documentation of scholarship
6. Attach previous academic certificates and transcripts
7. Attach health Insurance copy
8. Pay your application fee and attach payment invoice OR you can pay fee when you visit the Finnish embassy or consulate as well
9. Bank statement and certificate (6720 euro if you want the residence permit for 1 year or 13440 euro for 2 years)
10. Sponsor’s pay-slips or income sources
