Over the summer of 2023, we spent 5 weeks in Michigan. We began our trip in the upper peninsula, where we visited Tahquamenon Falls, the Pictured Rocks, and Whitefish Point. We also drove into Canada one day. The remainder of the trip was spent exploring the southern peninsula. We were based out of the city of Gaylord, which was quaint and quiet. We took day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, Hartwick Pines, Dow Gardens, and Mackinac Island.
Along the trip, we also birded each of these locations along our way. The video includes some of the birds we saw, including 10 lifers, one of which was the Kirtland's Warbler!
