Nathalie Richert, 22, from Sweden, is a model with ichthyosis, a rare genetic condition which causes a build-up of red, scaly skin. However, Nathalie is one of only 20 people in the world with a form of the condition known as ‘ichthyosis with confetti’ - in which the scaly skin is broken up by confetti-like patches of healthy skin. Growing up Nathalie struggled with insecurities due to her physical appearance but has now embraced her condition, posing for a number of professional modelling shoots and educating people about ichthyosis on her social platforms. In this episode we meet Nathalie at home with her cousin Siri before she heads out to meet a photographer to pose for some shots for her modelling portfolio.
