The piece “Innocent” stands out as one of his most delicate and emotionally resonant works - a simple yet powerful melody that captures the innocence, wonder, and quiet melancholy of the film.

The piano arrangement I perform here is the original one written by Joe Hisaishi himself, which beautifully distills the spirit of the piece in a solo piano format and I wanted to pay tribute not only to Hisaishi’s brilliance but also to the emotional depth of one of Ghibli’s most iconic films.

“Innocent” doesn’t just accompany the story — it tells it, giving voice to moments of stillness, hope, and magic.
