Fordham University’s acclaimed concert series Voices Up!, curated by composer and scholar Lawrence Kramer, presents an evening of transcendent chamber music performed by the Momenta String Quartet.
The program spans six centuries of music, from the spiritual counterpoint of Palestrina to the luminous modernism of Ravel, alongside Jeff Nichols’ dynamic String Quartet No. 2 and the world premiere of Lawrence Kramer’s String Quartet No. 11: Murmuration (2024).
This concert embodies the mission of Voices Up!—to bring poetry, music, and the living voice of art into vibrant dialogue.
Program

Jeff Nichols — String Quartet No. 2 (2016)
Lawrence Kramer — String Quartet No. 11: Murmuration (2024; World Premiere)
Maurice Ravel — String Quartet in F Major
