Who would’ve thought that building a custom truck bed for our Diamond T was going to be so technical? We utilized a CAD Program for the design process to ensure that all of our dimensions were accurate and would accommodated the material that we wanted to the truck bed. Being a major manufacturer allowed us to utilize some heavy industrial tools (such as a Mitsubishi Laser Cutter and an Industrial Press Brake) to help us fabricate the different components for the truck bed.
For the internal wheel hubs we used a Slip Roll, a Shrinker/Stretcher, an English Wheel, and welded two components together. They turned out really nice! And wait till you see the custom Tail Gate and how we’ll create a Custom Diamond T Logo for the back using Bead Rolls! So much information to in just one video.
