August 1993 and it's 25 years since the end of mainline steam. The East Lancs. celebrated with a month long gala with numerous visiting engines. There was plenty, of shall we say, spirited running throughout the month. This short video, originally filmed on Super VHS tape, shows some of the highlights. Recreating the last Copy Pit banker with class 40 D335 is LMS class 8F 2-8-0 no. 48431 running as departed classmate 48278
