The 2026 Chicago Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade, celebrating the Year of the Fire Horse, took on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
The procession started at the intersection of 24th Street and Wentworth Ave. and travelled north along Wentworth Ave. toward the main viewing stand located at Cermak Rd. and Wentworth Ave.
Traditional dragon and lion dancing teams, marching bands, and martial arts demonstrations. Colorful decorated floats and various community marching groups.
Chinese New Year 2026, or Lunar New Year (started on February, 17th, 2026) – Year of the Fire Horse, will lasts until February 5, 2027.
