If your Mazda suddenly throws a front camera warning, you are not alone. Many drivers report messages like Front Camera Visibility Reduced, lane departure warning disabled, or high beam control not working. These warnings often appear during rain, fog, glare, snow, or when the windshield is dirty near the camera area.
This issue applies to a wide range of vehicles, including Mazda3 (2014-2023), Mazda6 (2014-2021), CX-3 (2016-2021), CX-5 (2016-2023), CX-9 (2016-2023), CX-30 (2020-2023), CX-50 (2023), MX-5 (2016-2023), and MX-30 PHEV (2022-2023). The manufacturer document is a dealer communication, not a recall, and it is intended to guide diagnosis and customer concerns. Reference numbers: NHTSA 10225761 and SA-066-22.
Common stored codes may include C1001:92, meaning the forward sensing camera has a poor field of view, and B14F0:92, meaning a general temporary failure in the forward sensing camera. Some vehicles show warnings with no stored code.
In this video, I will explain why it happens, what to check first, and when calibration or camera replacement becomes necessary.
