PG&E rate cuts mean lower electric and gas bills for customers
Millions of customers served by Pacific Gas and Electric Company are seeing lower utility bills starting this month. The company says electric rates dropped by about 5 percent, a change that took effect yesterday. PG&E says most electric customers will now pay about $20 less per month compared with their bills from January of last year. Natural gas rates are also down roughly 10 percent, which the company says will save residents about $7 per month on average.
