Residents of Frisco are witnessing rapid progress toward the completion of Legacy Christian Academy’s upper school as they pass the campus each day on Stonebrook Parkway.
The exterior wall framing and most of the sheathing is in place on the curving two-story academic building that opens to Fighting Eagles Lane. The installation of roofing has begun on this portion of the structure, soon to be followed by the windows and the masonry.
It is now possible to envision the terraced courtyard on the west side of the building, nestled between the original classroom wing, the new fine arts building, and the new quiet commons space that will overlook this inviting exterior space.
On the western side of the site, towards Stewart creek, the steel framing for the performing arts wing is complete, giving passersby a real sense of the scale of the Auditorium, black-box theater, band and choir halls. Metal roof deck installation and wall framing are progressing rapidly here and soon, these spaces, too, will be enclosed.
The offices for the Academy’s system administration, located at the west end of the performing arts center, are also taking shape. With the completion of this building, the school’s administration will, for the first time, have a permanent home, and a dedicated space to welcome prospective new students and their families.
The new upper school academic building is on schedule to welcome students in the fall of 2016, with the performing arts center opening in January of 2017.
WRA Architects and Pogue Construction are proud to be a part of this exciting new chapter in the life of Legacy Christian Academy, as we all complete the Legacy.
