The situation of crime syndicates in Cambodia has been reported several times by KBS.

Our correspondent Jung Yoon-seop reports.

This is near Phnom Penh, Cambodia, known as the 'Prince Complex'.
It is a notorious crime complex where online fraud, human trafficking, confinement, and assault have occurred repeatedly.
A significant number of Koreans have also been involved in crimes here.

Chen Zhi, the chairman of the Prince Group, which operated crime complexes like the Prince Complex under the guise of real estate and financial businesses, has been arrested in Cambodia.
The Cambodian government announced on the 6th that they had captured Chen Zhi and two other Chinese nationals and repatriated them to China.
Chen Zhi moved to Cambodia over a decade ago and amassed a vast fortune.
He received advisory positions from former and current prime ministers and even a noble title from the royal family.

However, Chen Zhi suddenly disappeared last year.
He was identified as being behind a transnational crime organization that caused billions of dollars in damages worldwide.
The United States indicted Chen Zhi while seizing Bitcoin worth 20 trillion won, and the UK froze large assets.
Taiwan seized high-value assets, including over 20 supercars, and our government also initiated independent sanctions by freezing funds.
Chen Zhi, repatriated to China, may avoid punishment from the West, including the United States, but there are speculations that he could face the death penalty in China.
