Phillip Sear plays a 1909 piece by the New Zealand-born American pianist and composer (William) Mentor Crosse (1867 - ?).

Born in Dunedin, Crosse studied at the Leipzig Conservatory and in Berlin, and immigrated to the USA sometime thereafter. By the end of the 19th century he had established himself in Minneapolis as a teacher (at various schools) and piano recitalist, and also toured the USA and Canada.
This piece comes from a set of unrelated 'piano compositions'.
