STEPS

1. Cut out the fabric pieces for all parts of the bag
2. Body of bag: 50x90cm
3. Base of bag: 50x35cm
4. Handles: two strips of 12x100cm
5. Fold and press one edge of each handle under 3cm and the other edge by 1cm
6. Fold the handle in half, press into place. Repeat for second handle strip
7. Recommendation: Attach a walking foot and correct needle if you are using thick fabrics like canvas or denim
8. Stitch close to the edges of each handle
9. Repeat for the other handle
10. On the 50x90cm create a 2.5cm double folded hem on the 50cm edge. Press and sew the hem
11. On the right side of the fabric, pin handles into place. Handles will be approximately 30cm from the top, 16cm between each handle and 13cm from the raw edge
12. Carefully stitch handle into place. Ensure to stitch over the handle stitches
13. Repeat for the other handle
14. Fold and press 1cm hem along the 50cm edges of the fabric for the base of the bag
15. Sew along the folded hem of the base
16. Fold bad with right side together
17. Zig zag the seam allowance to stop the fabric from fraying
18. Fold bag at base to create a triangle. Measure 9am from the corner up the side seam and draw a line and pin into place
19. Sew across the marked line
20. Cut off the excess fabric. Zig zag seam allowance. Repeat for the other side
21. Flip inside out
